Fortis boss gets smaller golden handhake
Herman Verwilst, who was boss of Fortis for just two months earlier this year, will get a golden handshake of €800,000, the financial services group said on Friday.
The amount is €4m less than he was entitled to and in line with Dutch corporate governance rules. Verwilst was with Fortis for 15 years.
The Dutch activities of Fortis were nationalised last month.
