Fewer brides brought in from abroad

The number of Moroccan and Turkish nationals marrying someone who still lives in their country of origin has fallen from 50% in 2002 to 20% and 15% respectively, says the national statistics office CBS.


The CBS said the drop is probably due to tougher rules on age and income introduced in 2004.
