Construction orders fall 3%
Construction companies saw their order books shrink by 3% in October, following a fall in September of 12%, the building sector’s economic institute EIB announced on Wednesday.
Order books now contain enough work for 7.2 months compared with 7.4 months in October.
The downturn has hit the construction of houses, apartments, offices and public buildings, says the EIB.
