Competition body must check school mergers
The NMa competition authority should be asked to comment on mergers between school groups because of the effect on parental choice, the government’s education advisory council said on Friday.
In Maastricht, Venlo and Deventer, virtually all secondary education is in the hands of a single school group, the NRC says. MPs earlier called for a check on school mergers by the competition authority.
