Company court to rule on Fortis call
Trading in Fortis will be suspended at 15.45 hours on Monday afternoon ahead of a company court ruling, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Monday.
Shareholders lobby group VEB wants the court to order an investigation into events at the financial services group earlier this year.
Fortis has been divided up and partly nationalised since running into financial trouble following its takeover of parts of Dutch bank ABN Amro.
The VEB accuses Fortis management of not keeping shareholders properly informed about the company’s financial situation.
