Cabinet to discuss EU €130bn plan

Ministers will today discuss the European Commission’s €130bn plan to stimulate the EU economy, which is expected to be finalised next week.


Of that some €6bn will come from the Netherlands.
On Thursday, foreign minister Maxime Verhagen told Radio 1 he was concerned that EU member states might use the money to keep jobs in unsustainable sectors of the economy.
