‘Border cafes need help with smoking ban’
Christian Democrat activists are urging health minister Ab Klink to help cafe owners in border towns who are losing customers because smoking is still allowed in small cafes in Belgium and Germany.
Both countries exempt cafes which are smaller than 100 square meters from the smoking ban until 2011. The motion calling for action will be debated at the CDA congress this weekend.
