Arcadis cautious over earnings

Civil engineering group Arcadis booked operating profit of €16.3m in the third quarter of this year, the same as in the year-earlier period. Sales were up 5% at €427m in the 2008 third quarter.

Arcadis said it is revising its full-year earnings growth forecast down from between 10% and 15% to 10%. The group says it is too early to say what effect the financial crisis will have on its operations.
So far, its infrastructure and environmental divisions are keeping up but there are some delays in commercial property contracts in Britain and US, Arcadis says.
