Truckers plan Saturday go-slow on A20
Truck drivers are to hold a go-slow on the A20 near Gouda on Saturday, reports the Telegraaf. A column of 21 trucks will drive at 60 km down the slow lane, allowing other traffic to pass.
The go-slow is organised by the FNV trade union federation ahead of a second round of negotiations on pay and conditions due to start on Monday, says the paper.
Research has shown that truck drivers earn 20% less than people in comparative jobs and the FNV is looking for an increase of 6% a year. Employers offered 5% for 15 months in the first round of talks.
