Top secondary schools under-perform

Some 15% of schools providing the highest level of secondary education (VWO) are underperforming, the AD newspaper reports on Monday, quoting official school inspectorate figures.

Students at the two lower levels of secondary education (HAVO and VMBO) performed better, the inspectorate said.
Three of the four VWO schools in Almere were not up to scratch, while half of all VWO students in Rotterdam and Apeldoorn failed to meet minimum standards, reports the AD.
