Teachers strike begins in the south
Secondary school teachers in the southern provinces of Limburg, Zeeland and Noord Brabant will go on strike on Monday in the first of a week-long series of industrial action.
The strike is aimed at making sure an agreement on a 7% pay rise and reduction in teaching hours is implemented. The deal was reached at the beginning of September.
The strike moves to the province of Zuid-Holland on Tuesday, followed by Utrecht, Noord Holland and Groningen.
