State to give €20bn aid to finance sector
The Dutch state is to make €20bn available to the financial sector. The aid was announced at a press conference by finance minister Wouter Bos and the president of the Dutch central bank Nout Wellink on Thursday night.
The cash is intended to protect companies that are essentially healthy against the consequences of the credit crunch.
