Special clinics set up for young alcoholics
Special clinics to treat young people with alcohol problems are to be set up at hospitals in Leeuwarden, Hoorn and Eindhoven, the NRC reports on Wednesday. The hospitals expect to treat around 200 youngsters a year.
Heavy alcohol consumption by young people is a particular problem in the Netherlands more rural areas.
Last year, some 240 teenagers were hospitalised after drinking themselves into a coma.
