Residents disagree on Schiphol noise
Residents groups around Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport disagree whether they should support proposals to change the way noise hindrance is measured in the area, reports the NRC.
The changes are recommended in a report presented to the government yesterday.
Erwin von der Meer, who represented all 27 residents’ groups, walked out of discussions last week saying they are ‘immoral’ because they remove the public’s legal protection against excessive noise.
