Prosecutors lay claim to 200 Zaandam premises

The public prosecution department has laid claim to 200 buildings on Zaandam’s Peperstraat because their owner is the subject of a criminal investigation.

The shops, homes and offices are owned by Rob G, arrested in Spain in 2007 on suspicion of laundering part of the ransom money paid for beer magnate Freddie Heineken who was kidnapped in 1983. Some €3.6m has never been recovered.
