Pay rises of up to 40% for armed forces

Members of the armed forces who sign up for a further period of duty will be given pay rises of between 5% for ordinary soldiers to 40% for high-ranking officers, according to the Telegraaf.


The move is an effort by the defence ministry to stop growing numbers of military staff from leaving the services after serving just one term of duty, says the paper.
