NAC Breda now top premier football league

NAC Breda head Dutch football’s premier league after a surprise 2-1 home victory over reigning champions PSV of Eindhoven on Saturday.

The defeat means PSV have slipped to fourth place, three points behind NAC.
FC Groningen, who had been at the top of the league up to the weekend, dropped to second place after losing 1-0 away to Ajax in Amsterdam on Saturday. The Amsterdammers are in ninth place, having made a poor start to the season.
AZ of Alkmaar are in third position after beating De Graafschap 2-0 away in Doetinchem on Sunday.
Rotterdam’s Feyenoord, meanwhile, are languishing in 15th place after losing 1-0 away to Willem II (Tilburg) on Sunday, their fourth defeat this season.
