Some 15 vehicles were involved in a pile up which closed the main dyke road between the provinces of Noord Holland and Friesland in both directions for several houses on Tuesday.

And there was traffic chaos in Amsterdam when traffic light failures at several tunnels on the A10 ring road led to long tailbacks.
