Melamine found in Chinese biscuits
The food safety board VWA has found traces of the chemical melamine in two types of biscuits from China on sale in the Netherlands, news agency ANP reports.
The biscuits, from the brand Koala, have been removed from the shelves.
Melamine, used to make plastic tableware, is at the centre of a contaminated milk scandal in China where tens of thousands of babies have become sick .
