Dutch industrial sales grew by 3% in August, compared with the year earlier period, according to new figures from the national statistics office CBS.

The oil, chemicals and plastics sectors booked the biggest growth in turnover, while most other sectors saw sales decline.
But the volume of actual production of goods and services fell by 1% year on year, reversing six months of growth, the CBS said.
