A 19-year-old Nigerian woman who has lived illegally in the Netherlands for 13 years has won the legal right to study at an Amsterdam college, the Volkskrant reports on Tuesday.

The college, where the woman wants to study food and nutrition, had refused her entry, but judges in Amsterdam ruled she has the right to further education under EU human rights legislation.
The court said it has taken the decision because the woman has applied for a residency permit. The rest of her family is already legal, the Volkskrant reports.
