Heavy traffic as school holidays start
Heavy traffic is expected on the roads on Friday evening as schools’ half-term autumn holiday begins in the central and southern part of the country.
The ANWB motoring organisation expects 700,000 people to take an autumn break and half of these will head for Germany, Belgium and France.
The holiday begins on October 17 for the rest of the country.
