PSV of Eindhoven were easily overpowered 3-1 by Liverpool yesterday in the second game of the group stage of European football’s Champions League.


Urged on by their home crowd, the star-studded Merseyside team hammered three goals past PSV.
Liverpool’s Dutch striker Dirk Kuijt scored the first. PSV netted a late consolation goal through Danny Koevermans.
