Eco-tax is hitting KLM, says CEO
Dutch airline KLM carried 230,000 fewer passengers from Amsterdam’s Schiphol in July and August compared to the same 2007 period as a result of the Dutch eco-tax on air travel, says KLM CEO Peter Hartman.
Hartman told news agency ANP that he expects the airline to €500,000 as a result of the levy (€11.25 on flights up to 2,500 kms and €45 euros for longer journeys) which was introduced in July this year.
