Cost cuts expected at Air France-KLM
Air France-KLM will shortly announce new measures to save costs now its forecasts for growth have worsened, the Financieele Dagblad quotes French newspaper Les Echos as saying.
Les Echos based its article on remarks made by the company’s CEO, Jean Cyril Spinetta. According to the paper, costs will be cut by speeding up the synergies expected in the original merger between the French and Dutch airlines.
Spinetta also said that KLM will downgrade its growth expectations for the tax year until March 31 2009 to zero from a previously forecast 4%.
