Boskalis owns 20% of Smit

Dredging firm Boskalis has doubled its stake in the maritime services group Smit International to 20% over the last two weeks, reports Friday’s Financieele Dagblad.

Boskalis made a hostile bid to take over Smit last month, offering €62.50 per share for the company.
However, analysts believe this would have to be increased to €75 per share to be of interest to Smit’s major shareholders, the paper says.
