An Iranian asylum-seeker caused traffic chaos around Nijmegen on Thursday morning when he threatened to jump off a bridge over the river Waal unless immigration minister Nebahat Albayrak came to talk to him.

Police sealed of both sides of the N325, causing traffic to back up around the city.
The man, who was brought down after five hours on the bridge, is afraid he will be deported, news agency ANP reported.
