Nationalist politician Rita Verdonk and her party Trots op Nederland (TON) has lost support among voters following stinging criticism from a former advisor earlier this week.

According to the political barometer poll Verdonk would win 17 seats if an election was held now, compared with 20 seats a fortnight ago, reports ANP news agency.
Ed Sinke, who worked for Verdonk for two years before leaving after she accused him of fiddling party funds, described her as ‘unprincipled and narcissistic’ on a tv programme.
