Police in Amsterdam are investigating the murder of a trainee teacher, who was shot dead in Amsterdam Zuid on Tuesday night.

Media reports name him as Hassan Abdallah, who was teaching at the city’s TeC technical studies college until the beginning of July.
The killer escaped on a motor scooter.
Pupils told reporters they were shocked at the news. ‘Everyone liked him. He managed to keep some people on the straight and narrow,’ one pupil was reported as saying.
The TeC college hit the headlines last year when a 14 year-old boy stabbed a classmate to death.
