Project developers hit by credit crisis
At least 15% of plans for the development of new shopping centres, office blocks and business parks will be scrapped as a result of the credit crisis, according to a developer quoted in the Volkskrant.
Rudy Stroink of TCN, one of the biggest developers in the Netherlands, said banks are reluctant to finance new projects because they are afraid the value of the property used as collateral will fall.
