One in four teens unhappy with appearance
One in four teenagers is unhappy with the way he or she looks and is considering cosmetic surgery, according to a survey of 500 youngsters published in today’s free newspaper Spits.
Girls are dissatisfied with their weight, tummy and legs while boys fret about their skin and chest. But according to social psychologist Hans van de Sande the figures are not surprising. ‘Teenagers are never happy with the way they look,’ he tells the paper.
