Holland’s oldest inhabitant celebrates her 111th birthday on Friday. Grietje Jansen-Anker, who is still in perfect mental health, is not one to make a fuss over her age, report the media.

Just as in past years, she has declined a visit from the local mayor and other VIPs preferring to share her birthday cake with family and other residents of the care home in Middelburg where she has lived for the last nine years. She lived alone until she was 92.
