Most people trust Dutch banks
More than 70% of the population consider their savings are safe with Dutch banks despite the credit crisis, according to a survey by TNS Nipo for broadcaster RTL Nieuws.
Most people have little to worry about as the Dutch central bank guarantees up to €38,000 per savings account and 70% of savers have less than this sum on their deposit account.
The survey showed that 85% of the population has a savings account, with 66% of them keeping their money at one bank
