Holland to be self sufficient in electricity

The Netherlands will not have to import any electricity from abroad next year, national grid manager Tennet said on Monday.


The building of new generation plants and wind farms, plus the development of small-scale generation projects means the country will become an exporter of power in 2009, NOS reported Tennet as saying.
