Government gets five out of 10
The cabinet scores five out of 10 from citizens according to a poll by RTL news on Tuesday. Confidence in the government has fallen by almost 10% compared to last year, the survey concluded.
The biggest complaint is that the cabinet does not listen enough to its citizens, according to the poll. Prime minister Jan Peter Balkenende scores 5.7 while finance minister Wouter Bos gets a 5.6.
The same survey concluded that the prime minister’s Christian Democratic party would win the most seats (31 in the 150-seat parliament) if an election was held today.
