Glamour award for Carice van Houten
Actress Carice van Houten, who received international praise for her role in Paul Verhoeven’s film Zwartboek, has been awarded the Glamour prize for her ‘global talent on the silver screen and on stage’.
She received a crystal mermaid designed by Swarovski.
The award is presented by Nederland Positief, which campaigns for positive news about the Netherlands.
It has also asked her to become one of its ambassadors following her spoken book version of Anne Frank’s Diary. ‘She knows how to interest kids in World War II,’ said Nederland Positief founder Christian Houkes.
