Fewer organ donations after death
The number of organ donations made after death reached 122 in the first eight months of this year, 35 fewer than in the same period in 2007, the transplant foundation said on Tuesday.
But the number of donations made by living donors is up, the organisation said.
Research by the foundation shows that 70% of family members refuse to make organs available for transplant after the death of a loved one.
