Eon tops Dutch energy pollution league

German energy giant Eon causes the most pollution of the seven biggest power producers in the Netherlands, according to a survey published on Monday by the environmental organisation Greenpeace.


The organisation dumped a pile of coal outside Eon’s offices in Eindhoven this morning in protest at the company’s use of coal-fired power stations.
The cleanest energy firm in the Netherlands is Eneco, according to the survey.
