Delta Lloyd sponsors Volvo Ocean Race

Insurance company Delta Lloyd is to sponsor last year’s winning boat in the world’s longest sailing contest, the Volvo Ocean Race.


The company was co-sponsor of the Black Betty last year together with ABN Amro.
This year’s 70,000 km race begins on October 4. The boat will sail under the Dutch flag but with an Irish captain, Ger O’Rourke, who also skippered the Black Betty in 2007.
