Consumer groups quit transport card talks
Five consumer groups have pulled out of a working group for the new public transport smart card which is supposed to replace paper tickets on bus, tram and metro next year, report various newspapers on Monday.
The groups said there are so many problems with the new card (ov-chipkaart), including the increased cost of travel and IT problems, that it offers no advantages to consumers.
