Chronically sick will have less to spend
A single person with chronic health problems who earns the minimum wage will have 2.7% less to spend next year, according to calculations by the family spending institute Nibud.
The government has pledged to give an extra €100m to compensate people for changes to the tax breaks on health costs, but it is not enough to make up for the shortfall, lobby groups for the handicapped say.
