White line costs Groningen €1m

A white line on a 30km stretch of road from Groningen to the port of Eemshaven has cost the provincial council an extra €1m because it was placed too close to the edge, news agency ANP reports.

White lines should be at least 25cm from the side of the road but this one is just 10cm. The province is now to add an extra section of tarmac along the full stretch to meet safety regulations.
