Raccoons get the all clear
Raccoons are not a threat to biodiversity, agriculture or health in the Netherlands, says the agriculture ministry on Monday.
An investigation into an alleged raccoon invasion in the east of the country has discovered just ten of the creatures.
The investigation followed a warning in July that raccoons, which are entering the country from Germany, pose a threat to ground-nesting birds because they eat their eggs.
