New trial judge for Karadzic
The trial of former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic at the UN tribunal in The Hague has been transferred to court number three, meaning Dutch judge Alphons Orie, who is based in court one, is off the case, news agency ANP reports.
Court president Fausto Pocar said the move had been made for practical reasons. Earlier this week, Karadzic had called for Orie’s removal, arguing he was biased.
