Some 64 managers at home care companies earn more than the prime minister’s basic salary of €135,000, according to a survey by the Socialist Party.

At the same time, home care workers are facing pay cuts and worse working conditions because of competition in the sector, the SP says. And nine institutions paid out a total of €4m in golden handshakes to top managers who left – an average of €300,000 per boss, the SP says.
