Hema suppliers pay for own marketing

Department store chain Hema has confirmed that it subtracts 5% from the bills of all companies supplying its own label products for ‘marketing purposes’.

But according to suppliers, the 5% levy is being used to bolster the profits of Hema’s new owner, investment fund Lion Capital, reports the Financieele Dagblad.
