Ex ABN Amro boss joins UK solar firm

The former chief of ABN Amro bank, Rijkman Groenink, has been appointed a member of the supervisory board of the British solar energy firm G24 Innovations, reports ANP news on Wednesday.

According to the website of G24, the appointment is connected to an investment in the company by businessman Marcel van Poecke, says ANP.
Van Poecke is the founder of oil concern Petroplus which he sold for over €200m.
Groenink left ABN Amro nine months ago when the bank was sold to Fortis, Royal Bank of Scotland and Spain’s Banco Santander.
