Dutch ignore days off

Half of Dutch workers do not use up all their holiday entitlement, reports free newspaper Spits on Tuesday.

Of the 28 free days off that most people have, an average of 24 are taken, says the paper.
According to psychologist Jaap van den Broek this has to do with the Dutch work ethic. ‘We don’t want to leave work undone or saddle our colleagues with it,’ he told Spits.
