Almost total moon eclipse set for Saturday

An almost total eclipse of the moon will be able to be seen in the Netherlands on Saturday as long as there is no cloud, reports ANP news service.

The moon will start to disappear in the earth’s shadow at around 8.30pm and will be almost completely covered (81%) by 11.10pm.
The moon will then appear light red. An eclipse occurs when the sun, moon and earth are lined up exactly behind each other.
