Dogs of all shapes and sizes which show ‘unwanted aggressive behaviour’ can be seized by government officials from next year, according to a new cabinet proposal.

Originally only dogs taller than 35cm were to be covered by the new law, which replaces the ban on dangerous dogs such as pit bull terriers.
